On my first trip to India as a devotee of Lord Shiva I dressed disguised as a man, a carried a stick to ward off dogs and men that might see through my disguise and bother me for being there just to sit at the burning ghat at midnight, to meditate all night watching the burning bodies⦠today in my red Sari and in a deeply feminine state, with my heart drenched in love and divine romance, with tears in my eyes the moment I placed my feet in Ganga Ma knowing that every tear is Her great waters cleansing and comforting my soul⦠I see bodies burning with a new Heart. A sense of the festival of life flows through me as form becomes formless and I am blessed from culture that has the courage to witness this in fact force themselves to face it .
I watch the bodies take their last bath and a drink from the sacred Ganges and then be placed on the fire of life, Lord Shivaβs instrument of Love, to dissolve into the formless realityβ¦
I once saw a sign in Begal at the samadhi of a great Aghori Tantric where i happened to be sleeping as fate would take me β¦
