I’m Ananda Xenia Shakti, and Intuitive Inter-Dimensional Healing Artist and the lead singer/ songwriter for Ananda Xenia Shakti & Love Power the Band. I currently spend most of time in Mother India, in the city Vrindavan engaged in Bhakti Yoga, a path of Awakening through song, dance and devotion to the creating source residing within each one of us.

Love Power The Band is a party for the Soul and the Body. Its New Earth music, vibrational awakening through words, melodies and beats from the separation and suffering of the old paradigm to New Earth consciousness of Oneness and Embodied Bliss.

While I was the lead singer and a founding member of the famous all girl punk band The ‘B’ Girls, living in NYC in the height of the Punk scene, touring with the Clash numerous times, and singing background vocals with Blondie in live performance and in the recording studio….. I discovered the teachings of yoga and never looked back.

I found a place to take my high spirited energy and love and directed it towards creating transformational music, Music created to break through limiting barriers in consciousness, by offering vibrational healing, expanded love and Unity Consciousness

The ‘B’ Girls, formed in the late 70’s and lasted for 5 yrs. . We had a deep innocence and a lot of luck .We showed up in NYC from our native Canada, all excited to play our first NY gig, but the city closed down because of a snow storm and everything got cancelled.  We were determined not to leave until we played NYC. We went to the  owner of the famous CBGBs and told him our story, he listened with a kind ear but said there was nothing he could do for us. Wishfully we kept coming his club every night. He grew to like us and did something he never does. He created an opening spot for us on a weekend gig without even auditioning our band  

Providence activated and  the Clash showed up at CBGB’s the night we were playing. They  loved us and wanted to support us, and invited us to be their opening act for their London Calling Tour on the Eastern seaboard of USA and Canada.

Deborah Harry from Blondie also took us under her wing. She took us into the studio as our producer.and we sang background vocals with Blondie live and one of their albums. Debbie even came to our gigs to be our sound engineer dressed in costumes to disguise herself as she was at the height of her career.

It was an exciting dream come true kind of life !

Yet in the midst of all of this I found yoga and then my first spiritual mentor.  I had an awakening and it when it happened I knew I had found what I was looking for and that everything I had sought previously in life was an attempt to find this Reality all of my searching, the adventures, the substances, the relationships, the seeking of fame,  had all been me trying to find Creation or God.

As a young girl, I used to have an experiences I would call ‘the sinking feeling.’ Something would happen, like an energy would activate from my belly and I would feel completely alone in the Universe. I would sit by myself and just try to wait until it was over. While it was happening I would think of famous people, idols, etc. and imagine I was with them hoping it would take the sinking feeling away. I understood later that ‘the sinking feeling’ was what unconsciously sent me seeking fame and association with ‘Idols’ …. until one day as a teenager I was siting with one of my big ‘Idols’ of the time and ‘the sinking feeling’ happened ! I realized then nothing from the outside could take it away. But I didn’t know what could take it away, or it anything could, yet it propelled me to keep seeking. 

When my Awakening came I knew this was it, the cure, or the real orientation in life. 

I left the Bgirls when we were just on the edge of being signed. It was a a big communication to express to the others girls, but actually not a big choice for me. I found what I was looking for ! And a i vowed to play music again but only if it would help others in transforming the pain in their lives, rather than the more common version of music that reflects the pain.

This is how Love Power the Band was born !

Each song has a unique sound that paves the way it aligns itself to Love. Our invitation to join in the healing vibe speak through the songs in different ways, through Beauty, Beats, Fantasy, Mystery, Psychedelic Waves, and of course Love ! It was hard to choose a category for the music, so we went for ‘World” but if check some of our reviews below you will see a common comment that we have create our own genre and we are offering it inspiration. We hope you will be moved by the love, vibration healing and inspiration in each tune.

A Love Power The Band concert is a unique happening . When Performed live our songs
become Interactive Music where the hive that gathers for the show is given a part in the song
and holds that down, dissolving the barrier between performer and audience and handing
the show over to the music and the oneness . Interactive Music symbolically holds our vision
of love, life and oneness. I believe we are born of the Song of the Divine and our truest hearts longing is to reunite with the Divine Song, we exist to remind each other . By remembering the Divine Song we can change the world. Music is one of the greatest inspirations for transformation.I

We do this Because we are ONE, ONE HEART, ONE BREATH, ONE SONG ,ONE BEAT, ONE DANCE !

Our first CD was a few years in the making, many obstacles were dissolved to bring it to form, time, finances and planetary locations of the band members. Yet as Creation will always have it the timing has been perfect ! The first single we released from the CD ‘I Am Love’ landed in such perfect harmony with the times, lifting many people from the heavy and confused life experiences they have been encountering during Lockdown and the times of churning and change of paradigms on Earth.

My heart has been touched deeply by the numbers of people that have reached out to let me know they or their families have been dancing around the house singing ‘I Am Love’. This is truly the purpose of this collaboration of Art and the Higher Realms.

We’ve had 2 singles that charted number 0ne!!! and 2 that have charted 2 & 3 on the UK I Tunes charts on their release date! It’s so exciting to be sharing the power of love. We believe we are here to Awakenen and that music has a big part in that. Music can bring us closer to our Angel heart…. I know this first hand as I have spent much time in inter-dimensional communion.

I would like to celebrate the Dear Personalities that are part of Love Power the band sound Yogi Shambu drums and percussion, Premadasa Gangadeen guitar and bass , Niranjan Gundu guitar and bass, Adi Kanda background vocals, Markos Ordonez bass, Ras Groundation Congas, Snappy Homefry Kipp production and engineering, Saakti on production and engineering, their spontaneous abilities to creatively express the songs I receive through my channeling, are paramount in giving Love Power the Band its unique sound.
